Decision Making

Written on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 by Siddharth PV

More time doesn't lead to better decisions. It only leads to anxiety.

What enables better choices is better information.

So it makes no sense to postpone a decision - unless you are going to
get BETTER INFORMATION in the meantime.

Rather, just go ahead and make the choice.

I believe that decisions are fueled by information and principles that the individual holds close to his identity. So in that case if you are not getting any new information then decision making should be quick....right !
well not quite.............i have realised that most of us hold our principles to be unchanging.......but there always has to be that doubt....that doubt that not the information that u have but the principled approach that you are taking might be wrong.......unless you are open to the fact that ur principles should be open to change there will not be any spiritual growth......and for this kind of growth you cannot consider the time it takes for that growth might change everything.......it is this openness that will lead to a bigger sense of the world and help us come out from the individual shells that we are wombed into........
The fact that more time leads to anxiety is applicable not in decision making but in acting over the decisions that one has made.......
